Top Ten Tuesday: Books on my Fall TBR List – 2017 Edition!

Hello everyone! The book fair just ended, so hopefully this slump will too. 😀

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is all about my fall tbr! One year after my first TTT post which was also this! I’m still pretty much buried with ARCs right now, but these are my WILL HOPEFULLY READ titles! (Oh and in case you were wondering, I managed to finish 9 out of the 10 books in last year’s TBR. Ha!)

1. This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab

This has been recommended to me a lot by friends, especially when I was lowkey ranting about ADSOM lol.  But yeah, will be sync-reading this with my best friend so that’ll be fun!

2. Warcross by Marie Lu

YAAAASSS QUEEEENNN MARIEEEEE has another book out. I am absolutely excited for this!

3. A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab

Riiight so I’ve finished A Darker Shade of Magic (review to come tomorrow, stay tuned!) so I’ll need the next books too! Lila Bard has really been growing on me omg

4. When Dimplr Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

This is still on the way from BookOutlet and I’m getting so impatient I want it already! I’ve heard that this is such a cute book and I cannot wait to get my hands on it!

5. Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

I still haven’t read it, I know! Haha. But I will before the year ends, I promise! I’ll throw in Godsgrave too.

6. Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas

You know I need some Chaol in my life. You know it! (Can we talk about how out of place that cover is though?)

7. And I Darken by Kiersten White

Will be sync-reading this with my friend too!

Right, so since it’s fall and all, I’ll of course throw in some horror books cause I need to get my Halloween on!

8. Spiral by Koji Suzuki

I finished Ring last year and holy crap A GIRL WAS SHOOK. I’m hoping this is as good as the first one

9. Mary:Unleashed by Hillary Monahan

I’ve read Mary: The Summoning last year too. The book made me so paranoid after! I’m excited to get these chills again cause yaaaasss come on, Bloody Mary! Come on, horror!

10. IT by Stephen King

I gotta get my King on! Also I refuse to watch it cause I absolutely cannot stand horror movies. A girl will be paranoid for weeks! (Shoutout to that one time I watched Annabell with TheHogsmeadeReader and some friends and all I did was cover my eyes and scream lmao. Fun times!)
So yeah, at least I’ll know the story?

So there we have it! What about you guys? Tell me about your fall tbr!

  1. I started Warcross yesterday evening! Only have read two chapters but already I cannot wait to read more. [And it’s my first Marie Lu novel to read, so I’m definitely ready to find out if I like her style – even though I already have a feeling I will, haha.]

Schwab’s books are on my TBR-shelves as well! Haven’t read a single one of them yet, but I will. Eventually..
When Dimple Met Rishi is on my Fall TBR too; and IT.. Well, let’s just say I’m a baby when it comes to horror and The Shining gave me a couple of sleepless nights.. So I’ll probably postponing reading that one for.. forever.. [I’m already giving it the stink-eye for the sleepless nights that I know will follow once I read it, haha.]

I can handle horror books, just not movies at all haha. You definitely have to read some Schwab. It’s so good!

      1. Both is a no-no for me; except for movies if I have someone or something to hide behind.. Watched one horror in the movie theater once – It Follows – and I felt followed for two weeks after that.. :’D
        I definitely will !

Lol like my friends always say. I always get my money’s worth for horror movies cause even weeks after, the movie’s still haunting me. Haha!

I’ve heard that A Gathering of Shadows was really good. I haven’t read it myself yet, though.

I *love* the gif you picked for today’s post, by the way. It’s my favorite Halloween gif of all time.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

SPIRAL. It’s my favorite of the series. If Ring left you shook, Spiral will physically push you over. I love it!

And oh, I’m meeting Marie Lu tomorrow! XD
